Aries New Moon 2023, Part Un
This year, we get the cosmic boost of TWO Aries New Moons – yes, you read that right
As a New Moon baby myself, I love some good New Moon energy 🌑
The New Moon represents the beginning of a cycle.
There’s space to set intentions, to emotionally commit to what our soul desires.
Literally & figuratively – we’re making room to gestate the seed of our intended creations, so we can eventually give birth to something new.
Now, the way it *usually* works is that New Moons open a cycle, and we continue to nurture this seedling (hopefully) to fruition when we reach the corresponding Full Moon about six months later.
But with the quirky cosmic storyline we’re working with this year – we’ve got two Aries New Moons…and only ONE Aries Full Moon.
Tuesday, March 21 - Aries New Moon (0°48’)
Thursday, April 20 - Aries New Moon (29°49’)*
Friday, September 29 - Aries Full Moon (6°00’)
*Hybrid Solar Eclipse
(You can refer to this table on Astro-Seek for a quick look at the New/Full Moons for the whole year.)
Let’s take a quick look at the full sky for our first Aries New Moon to get a ✨wider perspective✨
Alongside our Aries New Moon for March, we’ve got…
Mercury in Aries, just 5 degrees away from the New Moon
Quick Translation: Speak up, there’s no time to waste!
Chiron & Jupiter still in relative close conjunction (you can read this post to get the dets on that particular moment), also in Aries
Quick Translation: You’ve got to believe in good things again for good things to happen
Venus & North Node in conjunction over in Taurus (oh look, I wrote a post about that, too!)
Quick Translation: What you want, wants you
Saturn *just* entered Pisces (more on that), & Pluto is *days* away from giving us a Spring preview of his time in Aquarius (more on this soon)
Quick-ish Translation: Our society’s been focused on improving the foundations of our collective well-being for the last 3 years…but we’ve got to bring down the concept of hierarchy & “less than, worthy of” in order for the power to be relinquished to The People
(I have to pause to tell you I just finished typing that sentence, felt the heaviness in it, took a deep breath – and checked my watch for some reason? It was 4:44pm ✨)
Not to be forgotten, Mars is about to enter Cancer, after SEVEN long months in Gemini – FINALLY FFS
Quick Translation: The indecisive, curious-but-non-committal energy we’ve been dealing with is yielding finally to the most nurturing & emotionally supportive of all the Cardinal Signs (praise baby Jesus 🥲)
I see all of this as an astrological blessing from the Divine – because for those who feel The Call to serve the collective? We’re about to be asked to step into some *pretty big shoes*
And as I mentioned in yesterday’s post, we’re only going to be able to serve the collective with the lightness & generosity of spirit that can create true healing if we’re prioritizing our own nourishment.
The Sign of Aries is the embodiment of masculine, yang energy. He’s a passionate warrior, and he’s driven to conquer the battle at hand.
And this year? We have TWO opportunities to sow seeds with his unwavering decisiveness.
I’ll write another post when we get to the next Aries New Moon, but by the time we get there, the energy will be very different.
I don’t want to go too far with my astro-speculations right now…
But I have a feeling we’ll be seeing signs of the first attempts for The Man™ to try to appease The People in some way that will likely be seen as another “bone thrown to the dogs” rather than offering meaningful solutions.
